unconditional love that God has for the world. John 3:16 makes it quite
clear that this love cannot be earned... only received. When we accept
Jesus, God's son as our savior, we are accepting not only God's love, but
also the provision He has made for all of mankind to line eternally in
His loving presence. When we accept Christ as our redeemer, we must also
love one another. Jesus taught that we are to "Love one another as I have
loved you". John 13:34. Jesus put no pre-qualifiers on this statement;
in other words, we are to love at all times and exclude no one. Jesus went
even further to state that there is no reward in loving only those that
are good to you, but we must love no matter how we are treated.
